Privacy Policy

This policy explains how GoComply handles the information advisors and their clients entrust to the platform.

What information we collect

GoComply collects two categories of information:

  • Advisor account information: name, work email address, advisor code, licensed provinces, branch office address and phone, advisor phone and email, and optional supervisor name and email.
  • Client and file information entered by the advisor: client name, email, province of residence, services selected, meeting and call notes, generated and uploaded compliance documents, illustrations and signed forms.
  • Account and billing records: subscription status and payment records processed by our payment provider. Full card details are never received or stored by GoComply.
  • Optional integration tokens for e-signature and email providers you choose to connect.
  • Messages you send through the website contact form.

Why we collect it

Information is collected so advisors can prepare, organize and retain the compliance documentation required for their business, so accounts can be authenticated and billed, and so support enquiries can be answered.

How it is used

Advisor and client information is used to populate compliance documents, maintain client file history, deliver documents for signature through GoComply's built-in secure e-signature, and operate your subscription. GoComply does not sell personal information, and does not use client information for advertising.

Who processes or stores it

GoComply operates on managed cloud infrastructure through Lovable Cloud for application hosting, database and file storage. Payment processing is handled by Stripe. Transactional, authentication and signing-invitation emails are delivered through Lovable's managed email service. E-signatures are handled entirely inside GoComply — no third-party signing providers receive your clients' documents. Each provider processes information solely to deliver its service.

How long it is retained

Client records, documents and notes are retained for as long as the advisor keeps them in their workspace, so that files remain available for compliance review periods. Advisors can delete individual clients, documents and files at any time. Account and billing records are retained while the account is active and for the period required for financial and legal recordkeeping. When an account is deleted, its client records and stored documents are removed.

How to request access or deletion

Advisors can view and export their own records from within the workspace at any time. To request a copy of the personal information held about you, or to request deletion of your account and its data, email info@gocomply.ca from the address on your account. Client individuals should contact their advisor first, as the advisor controls the client records held in GoComply.

How to report a privacy concern

Privacy concerns, questions or complaints can be sent to info@gocomply.ca. We will acknowledge your message and respond with the steps taken.
